The Medtronic corporate benefits team was searching for a benefits communication solution to help with three key objectives: 1) Eliminating insurance-speak from communication efforts and generating employee interest, 2) Reducing the need to travel to individual facilities and shut down the production line for enrollment meetings, and 3) Creating a better way to share benefits information with the spouses, partners, and families of Medtronic employees.
Medtronic employees fell in love with ALEX right away. In fact, analytics data shows that people were coming to it in droves. ALEX had 23,000 unique users, a number representing more than 90% of Medtronic employees.
Also, thanks to ALEX, the Medtronic benefits team was able to keep factory production lines open instead of closing them down to hold open enrollment meetings, reduce its need to travel, and meet its goal of successfully reaching spouses, partners, and families of employees.
